Phil Hanbury

Rev Phil Hanbury grew up in the local area, attending Baulkham Hills Baptist Church with his family. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour one Sunday morning at church just prior to commencing High School.
Phil met his wife Sue at WEC High School camps and they have a son, Joshua. Phil commenced Bible College whilst studying to become an Engineering and Industrial Technology teacher.
Phil is an accredited Baptist Pastor and has served at Carlingford, Northwest and Southwestern Community Baptist Churches. He has taught technology at a number of local schools and currently serves on the Board of Norwest Christian College, as a company director.
Whilst teaching at Norwest Christian College in 2003, Phil joined Schofields Bush Fire Brigade, where he continues to be an active volunteer Fire-fighter. He has recently been appointed by the commissioner to the position of RFS Chaplain for the Cumberland Zone.
Phil enjoys running to relax and unwind and can be found with the Hills District Joggers most Saturday mornings.
